Identification: A brown sunfish with a very large mouth, they often will have white on thier fins, they have brown rays on their face extending to the edge of its operculum. They also commonly have a red eye and a patch of red on the opercular gill plate.
Size: up to ten inches, 6 inches or more is rare in this area.
